It is with heavy hearts, we share that Jane LaFontaine, born on November 26, 1931, in Harrison, Maine, passed away at the age of 92 on December 31, 2023 in Fayetteville, Tennessee.

Jane embraced hard work throughout her life, finding joy in simple tasks, especially caring for her farm in McBurg. She had a particular fondness for the land, dedicating countless hours to tasks like picking up sticks and rocks. She loved traveling, a love which she acquired during her 71 years of marriage to Joe who was in the army 26 years. She had an adventurous spirit
and deep bond with family.

A collector at heart, Jane owned a quaint shop in Maine named "Jane's Junk and Betty's Best", showcasing her passion for repurposing discarded items into treasures. Shoveling snow in Maine’s winter months was one of her favorite activities.

She loved her Yorkies who brought her immeasurable joy and companionship. Jane leaves behind a legacy of hard work, determination, and a deep love for life's simple joys. Her big smile was a constant presence, brightening the lives of all who knew her.

Jane LaFontaine is survived by her husband, Joe LaFontaine, and her three daughters—Linda, Debra, and April. She is also remembered by six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Shriners Hospital or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
