Remembering the Life of

Loyd Simmons

July 11, 1931 - September 12, 2023

Loyd Arnold Simmons, age 92, of Frankewing, TN, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital. He was born July 11, 1931, in Madison County, AL, son of the late R.O. and Mary Potts Simmons. Mr. Simmons was a veteran of the US Army and a retired truck driver.

 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife: Jean F. Simmons; daughter: Linn Irth; sister: Elizabeth Hale; and brother: Harold E. Simmons.

 

Mr. Simmons is survived by his daughters: Sarah Winsett and Nancy Simmons; six grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

 

Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 15, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. in Wrights Cemetery with Elder Robert Harless Hale officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 12:00 until 1:30 p.m. at the Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home.
